WSD: Update on Service Interruption Affecting the Taylor’s Area

Date:

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Water Services Department wishes to inform the residents of the Taylor’s area, it’s environs and the affected schools in the area that after concluding an investigation of the extended water interruption on Monday, 6th January 2025, it was determined that a partially opened valve caused a significant reduction in water supply to the affected areas. Corrective measures have been taken which should bring a measure of relief to the area.

It is important to note that the area is still affected by limited supply of water from our water sources and consumers are encouraged to stay tuned to the Water Services Department’s Facebook Page for water schedule postings. In addition, consumers are encouraged to make every effort to significantly conserve water.

The WSD sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused, particularly to the students, parents, and teachers who were affected by the early dismissal of schools.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to ensure a reliable water supply. For further questions or concerns, please contact our office at (869) 467-1005/1447.
